第9条「日本軍の武装解除と将兵の家庭復帰」
(9) The Japanese military forces, after being completely disarmed, shall be permitted to return to their homes with the opportunity to lead peaceful and productive lives.
九 日本國軍隊ハ完全ニ武装ヲ解除セラレタル後各自ノ家庭ニ復歸シ平和的且生産的ノ生活ヲ營ムノ機會ヲ得シメラルベシ
【意訳】条件その4。日本国の軍隊は完全に武装解除し、将兵はそれぞれの家庭に帰り、平和で生産的な生活を営む機会を与えること。
第10条「戦争犯罪人の処罰と国民に対する人権尊重」
(10) We do not intend that the Japanese shall be enslaved as a race or destroyed as a nation, but stern justice shall be meted out to all war criminals, including those who have visited cruelties upon our prisoners. The Japanese government shall remove all obstacles to the revival and strengthening of democratic tendencies among the Japanese people. Freedom of speech, of religion, and of thought, as well as respect for the fundamental human rights shall be established.
十 吾等ハ日本人ヲ民族トシテ奴隷化セントシ又ハ國民トシテ滅亡セシメントスルノ意圖ヲ有スルモノニ非ザルモ吾等ノ俘虜ヲ虐待セル者ヲ含ム一切ノ戰爭犯罪人ニ對シテハ嚴重ナル処罰ヲ加ヘラルベシ日本國政府ハ日本國國民ノ間ニ於ケル民主主義的傾向ノ復活強化ニ對スル一切ノ障礙ヲ除去スベシ言論、宗敎及思想ノ自由竝ニ基本的人權ノ尊重ハ確立セラルベシ
【意訳】条件その5。我々は日本人を奴隷化したり、日本国を滅ぼしたりするつもりはない。ただし我々の捕虜を虐待するなど戦争犯罪人については、厳格に処罰すること。また日本国民が民主主義を望む上で障害となるものを除去すること。合わせて言論・宗教・思想の自由を認め、基本的人権を尊重すること。
第11条「日本の産業維持と賠償義務」
(11) Japan shall be permitted to maintain such industries as will sustain her economy and permit the exaction of just reparations in kind, but not those industries which would enable her to re-arm for war. To this end, access to, as distinguished from control of raw materials shall be permitted. Eventual Japanese participation in world trade relations shall be permitted.
十一 日本國ハ其ノ經濟ヲ支持シ且公正ナル實物賠償ノ取立ヲ可能ナラシムルガ如キ産業ヲ維持スルコトヲ許サルベシ但シ日本國ヲシテ戰爭ノ爲再軍備ヲ爲スコトヲ得シムルガ如キ産業ハ此ノ限ニ在ラズ右目的ノ爲原料ノ入手（其ノ支配トハ之ヲ區別ス）ヲ許可サルベシ日本國ハ將來世界貿易関係ヘノ參加ヲ許サルベシ
【意訳】条件その6。日本国は産業や経済を復興し、日本国内外に対して公正な賠償を行うこと。ただし再軍備につながる産業は除く。産業に必要な原材料は支配と異なる形で入手を許される。日本国は将来的に、国際貿易関係への参加を許されなければならない。
第12条「占領軍の撤収条件」
(12) The occupying forces of the Allies shall be withdrawn from Japan as soon as these objectives have been accomplished and there has been established in accordance with the freely expressed will of the Japanese people a peacefully inclined and responsible government.
十二 前記諸目的ガ達成セラレ且日本國國民ノ自由ニ表明セル意思ニ從ヒ平和的傾向ヲ有シ且責任アル政府ガ樹立セラルルニ於テハ聯合國ノ占領軍ハ直ニ日本國ヨリ撤収セラルベシ
【意訳】これらの目的が達成され、日本国民の自由意思に基づく平和政府が樹立された場合、連合国の占領軍は、ただちに日本国より撤収しなければならない。
